Pull with Transferito Desktop
What is Pull?
Pull is the process of migrating any live WordPress site to your local development environment. By clicking on the pull icon, you’ll be presented with the Transferito Desktop migration screen.
As you can see, we have:
- The Active Site
- The Destination Site
- The Advanced Migration Settings
- Start Migration Button
To process your migration, you will need to have created sites beforehand, (we won’t go into detail about creating sites here, there is a separate page dedicated to that) <link here>
Active Site:
As pull, allows you to migrate a live WordPress site, to your development environment. When creating a site for an active site, the environment can only be Live and the Site Type can only be WordPress Login details.
Destination Site:
Your destination site you will need to select Local as the environment and FTP as the site type.
Selecting the Created Site
The advanced settings are below but these are covered in another guide, <link here>.
Once you have selected your Active Site and your Destination Site, you are now ready to start your migration.
Click on the “Start Migration” button and depending on the size of your WordPress site. It should only be a matter of minutes until your migration completes.
